Crank will be finished late this week.. and the block should be ready the following week. I'll get it back ready to put together, and for the head to go on. I spent about 4 hours today, finishing up profiling the combustion chambers, and the exhaust ports, which is what I had left to do. It's about 90% finished.. I have some light barrel sanding left to do.. just to smooth things out from the porting bit, plus, it needs to go through the vat to clean it up.. but, it's about ready to roll. :) The company that did the crank work was pretty clever.. They were able to go in, and machine the inside of the counterweights to remove material.. then, close the holes back up, and machine it smooth to reduce turbulence from air grabbing the holes. It removed several pounds of material, yet, didn't change the overall shape/form of the crank. Neat stuff.. :)

Head is ready for a surfacing and a bath.. :)

Here's a few shots from yesterday.. reworking the combustion chambers.. unshrouding the valves as much as possible, and removing the ridge at the entry into the chamber, around each valve.

Chambers finished, and polished.. You can also see the bowl work from this angle..

Intake runners finished with 220 grit, then, hit with a buffing wheel to clean up..

Jesse.. I need the cam caps for this head.. You said that you had them when you sent the head to me a while ago, and that you would send them. I need them next week to check the cam bores and see if they need honing while at the head shop.

aside from the cam cap issue
they look beautiful

Jesse thats how he ported mine
you will not believe how that head will flow

i think that the head work [and his choice of cams] is what pushed mine to 300+hp thats with the stock intake, standard swap headers and a 60 mm exhaust system

everyone complains he is slow
yes, but no one i know, could do that.
